Green Book

I am back on the blog. I have to admit the only reason I haven’t published anything for this long is because I forgot my login details but my memory is back and I’ll start with a review from a film I went to see yesterday evening.

Green book
Synopsis

Dr Don Shirley is a world-class African-American pianist, who is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighbourhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation.

Mon avis:

In English:
I haven’t seen any films with Viggo Mortensen appart from the Lord of the Rings trilogy so I was a bit anxious as he was perfect in the role of Aragorn. It turns out that he is perfect in the role of Tony as well. Everything in this film is perfect. We laugh, we cry, we are angry. This film is perfect and everyone should watch it.
